Professor Christopher Elton, FRAM, has been Professor Emeritus of the Royal Academy of Music since July, 2011, when he stepped down as Head of Keyboard at the Academy, a post he held for 24 years.

At the time, Professor Jonathan Freeman-Atwood, Principal of the Academy, said: “I am delighted that Christopher's contribution to life at the Academy will remain significant. I feel exceptionally lucky that Christopher will continue with his important work as one of the Academy's and the UK's most renowned musical pedagogues.”
